چکیده
Trichloroethylene (TCE) removal was investigated in a post-plasma catalysis (PPC) configuration nearly dry air (RH = 0.7%) and moist 15%), using, for non-thermal plasma (NTP), 10-pin-to-plate negative DC corona discharge and, PPC, Ce0.01Mn as catalyst, calcined at 400 °C (Ce0.01Mn-400) or treated with nitric acid (Ce0.01Mn-AT). One of the key points to take advantage ozone emitted from NTP potential source active oxygen species further oxidation, very low temperature (100 °C), untreated TCE gaseous hazardous by-products NTP. The plasma-assisted Ce0.01Mn-AT catalyst presented best CO2 yield air, minimization formation chlorinated by-products. This result attributed high level vacancies higher amount Mn3+, improved specific surface area strong acidity. These features also allow promotion decomposition efficiency. Both catalysts exhibited good stability towards chlorine. tested 15%) showed function time, indicating water tolerance also.

Degradation of Aqueous Phase Trichloroethylene Using Pulsed Corona Discharge
Pulsed corona discharge has been found to be an effective method for the removal of trichloroethylene (TCE) from the aqueous phase. Almost complete degradation over one hour was observed irrespective of the electrolyte used in the solution. The degradation rates observed in these experiments are higher than those for other organic compounds such as phenol in pulsed corona reactors, thereby sugg...
متن کاملNonthermal Plasma Abatement of Trichloroethylene Enhanced by Photocatalysis
Abatement of trichloroethylene (TCE, 250 ppm in air) was studied in a novel nonthermal plasma (NTP) dielectric barrier discharge reactor with an inner electrode made of sintered metal fibers (SMF). The SMF electrodes modified with TiO2 and MnO2 were observed to be catalytically active. Their efficiency in TCE decomposition was compared with a Cu inner electrode. The SMF electrode modified with ...
متن کاملA High Temperature Pulsed Corona Plasma Reactor
Non-thermal plasma reactors have recently been used for the treatment of gaseous pollutants. High energy electrons (several eV) are produced in the plasma while the gas remains near ambient temperatures. Pollutant molecules are decomposed by highly reactive chemical radicals created through electron collisions. The focus of this work is the treatment of pollutants from the exhaust of electric a...
متن کاملAlGaN/GaN MOS-HEMTs with Corona-Discharge Plasma Treatment
The effects of a corona-discharge plasma treatment on the performance of an AlGaN/GaN metal-oxide-semiconductor high-electron mobility transistor fabricated onto Si substrates were studied. The threshold voltage shifted from −8.15 to −4.21 V when the device was treated with an Al2O3 layer. The leakage current was reduced from 2.9 × 10−5 to 4.2 × 10−7 mA/mm, and the ION/IOFF ratio increased from...
متن کاملControl of separated flows with the ionic wind generated by a DC corona discharge
This paper describes the investigation of a DC surface corona discharge established on a rounded edge of a dielectric material. The ionic wind induced by the discharge was measured with the Particle Image Velocimetry system. A physical induced flow model is proposed to interpret the shape of the velocity field. Experiments on a flat plate and a NACA 0015 were performed in a subsonic wind tunnel...
